There being no rest for the wicked I hoped on the sea bus from our Airb&b in North Vancouver to teach on an Organic Agility course. For those not familiar, Organic Agility was one of the first Powered by SenseMaker® developments. Andrea and I conceived it in Barcelona a few years back and its now in full launch mode. The software combines m ynotion ofreal-timee decision mapping (realised using SenseMaker® IP under license) with agile42’s strategy map. It also has various leadership and strategy components and I was there to teach Cynefin and also Apex Predator Theory. Tomorrow I will be back to contribute on value mapping while Dave Sharrock is leading the event. I’ve known Dave for several years and count him as a good friend. We had a great dinner with him and other colleagues last night getting ready for today. That conversation ranged widely over strategy topics, current politics and the state of the test match between England and Australia. The web link above will tell you all you need to know about Organic Agility itself, and will do it more justice than I can in a quick summary.
The full release of Organic Agility is an important stage on the development of Cognitive Edge and SenseMaker®. We’ve spent some years creating a market for complexity as an operational system with the abductive capabilities of SenseMaker® to the fore. Having creating that market we are moving from early adopter to early majortity in terms ofthe market life cycle and that involves a shift from generic utility to application specificity. Such is best achieved in partnerships and are already building on this early success with other options. Given its what I taught today as part of strategy its important to be consistent!
So follow the link, listen to the video, look at the demonstration and if its for you get involved. If you have your own idea where we would help, your own powered by SenseMaker® then get in touch.
