METHODS
The Cognitive Edge Network is evolving a series of open source methods based on Complexity and Narrative principles through the Method Development Cycle. These are described in method papers that are downloadable from the Cognitive Edge web site by anyone wanting to apply them subject to a commons licence.
The methods have evolved through repeated application as Network Practitioners have tested them on projects ranging from Employee Engagement through to Anti-Terrorism. They are maintained and version controlled by the CE team, but are tested, evolved and improved by clients and Network Practitioners in the Cognitive Edge wiki. Methods can be used stand alone, or assembled in different combinations, to suit the specific needs. The methods are based on the overall philosophy of naturalising sensemaking, building on complexity theory, the cognitive sciences and a body of work in narrative.
All methods that are currently under documentation can be viewed in the Cognitive Edge wiki.
Cognitive Edge provides Accreditation in the methods around the world. For information on the Accreditation programme, see here.
