The Stuspki Foundation launches SenseMaker® pilot to empower teachers in US education reform debate

As a private operating foundation based in San Francisco, USA, the Stupski Foundation aims to transform the American public education system so that children of minority ethnic and lower socioeconomic backgrounds are equipped for college, career and ultimately life.

Central to this transformation is the need to understand, straight from the narratives of eduators, what constitutes ‘breakthrough learning’ and what supports and scales it.

In using SenseMaker® to gather and analyse narratives from teachers and principals, Stupski hopes to provide a way to empower teachers around the country by providing them a voice in the crowded debate around US education reform. The results will support the research component of Stupski’s broader learning phase, the intention of which is to co-design learning initiatives with partners and initial prototypes of a knowledge platform.
