Dave Snowden awarded "Best advance of KM as a scientific discipline" at 2010 KMUK Awards

At KM UK 2010, held this week in London, Dave Snowden received the award for "Best Advance of KM as a Scientific Discipline".

The criteria for this award specified that it would go to "a KM expert who, in their work, has promoted KM as a scientific discipline, thus enhancing the profile of KM in both the academic and business communities".

Dave also presented a keynote at the same conference, titled "Life is uncertain, live with it" – the slides for that presentation can be found here.

Two other members of the Cognitive Edge Network were recipients of awards at KM UK 2010 – David Gurteen, for "Lifetime Achievement Award for Services to KM" and Bonnie Cheuk and team from ERM for "Best KM Initiative or Implementation in a Professional Services Firm".

Congratulations to Dave, David, Bonnie and the other award winners on the day.

Congratulations Dave-well deserved. KM badly needs scientific discipline underpinnings if it is to be taken seriously and provide scalable solutions for leveraging intellectual capital.
