Cognitive Edge is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Cheveldave as Director, Business Development. Michael has been one of the most successful Cognitive Practitioners through the company he established NuOptiks Consulting. This is the text of the email Michael sent to his clients to explain his role.
As a client of NuOptiks Consulting in the past few years I would first like to thank you for the opportunity to provide consulting services to your organization. For some of you I only provided a short period of consulting time whereas for others I have done several projects of varying sizes and durations. I know that many of my project engagements were successful in their objectives while some yielded benefits in emergent and unexpected ways. Throughout all of my projects I openly shared ideas and provided advice to the best of my abilities and knowledge and I hope that value was realized by those that sponsored such initiatives.
The reason for this note is to announce that NuOptiks Consulting will no longer be operating as a business entity effective immediately. I have chosen to accept an offer to join Cognitive Edge Pte Ltd. of Singapore taking on the role as their Director, Business Development. In this capacity I will be working closely with Cognitive Edge co-founders Dave Snowden and Steve Bealing, along with the rest of the CE team, to further advance Cognitive Edge’s growing international business in software application development, training, and services related to practical applications of complexity theory, narrative, and decision support. A significant part of my time will be managing key client projects so in many ways things will not change from the past other than my business card :o)
If you would like to engage me on projects in the future (I hope many of you do :o), the commercial arrangements will now be made directly with Cognitive Edge Pte Ltd. I will be able to facilitate the creation of such contracts so please feel free to contact me at any time to explore such possibilities. I look forward to the opportunity to bring the capabilities of the Cognitive Edge team along with the resources of its international open-source consultancy network to your business challenges and initiatives.
