One of the most useful models I use is the Cynefin framework. It's particularly useful in explaining to executives why they might use narrative techniques to address complex business issues. Here is how I explain the Cynefin framework to decision makers.

Shawn,
in the 5+ years that I've been learning about Cynefin, this explanation is the clearest yet. Thanks so much, it's a keeper.

Thank You! I have over the years struggled with how to make this model practical (to me and others).
I will keep and re-listen as it always makes me think about it.

Just to repeat my previous comments, which somehow did not find their way onto the web site.
This is the clearest explanation of Cynefin I have ever seen. Great stuff!
Straightforward language that I could comfortably use with clients.
Is it possible to get a copy of the Sketch Cast of this - so I could run it locally as required???

Thanks for your positive feedback on my sketchcast. There is probably a way to save a sketchcast to you hard disk. If you use Firefox there is an add-in that will capture the playback and store it on your disk. I can't remember what is called no because since I have moved to the mac I haven't downloaded all those things that I had on my pc. Let us know if you find it. You might find it under the category of saving YouTube clips, which is the same technology as sketchcast.

Dear Shawn
Thanks for your presentation. To me, that is a clear understanding of Cynefin.
Thanks
