After the seriousness of the last two weeks I thought some light relief was in order. I have no idea if the clip below is meant to be parody or advocacy but it could be used either way. It's in Italian so that might be a clue, but then that is yet another steriotype! I am introducing it here as I plan a wider discussion of the frequent confusion between stereotypes v archetypes sometime soon. It matches some of the Mars/Venus pseudo-science, to which category we can add NLP and others. I aim to pick up on that as a subject as well.
Hat tip to the ever interesting Feministphilosophers for this.

People complain about stereotyping but I think the fun of this film is that we keep recognizing the inherent truth to most of the observations "of course!"
Many do not fit - but with our first grandchild on the way - my bet is that there will be a good match by gender that we can all see very very early - faces vs objects being the first split
Why not the differences anyway!

there are things (stereotypes) that you can say about yourself (an italian about an italian), but not so well about others. So there is a double bias: it is about me, and additionally I am the one who says something about me. Thus it's far away from claiming abjectivity - and that's a good thing.
