549, 437 and counting

That is the number of words I have written on this blog since I started it in July 2006.  I just asked Ron (who looks after our web site with speed and professionalism) to extract the material for me so I could start to go through it for the book.  That is over 25K a month, the equivalent of two to three articles.  OK writing articles requires more effort, and there will be duplication in a lot of the material (although scanning it today less than I thought).  Aside from proving to me that I can finish the book (20% of that will do) it also showed that writing in fragments over time, and getting comments back is a better way of working out ideas.  Even if no one comments you are having a conversation in a blog ...

OK that's 549,575, more tomorrow

Well the bible is 'only' 800,000 words - so I guess your blog is approaching biblical proportions.

'Let there be complexity. And there was.'

Thats an amazing amount of blog but at least 40% of it is about rugby, the homeland and those bloody starbucks mugs - surely all that trivia isn't going in the book? - we only want stuff that we can relate to.

Cheers, Ron (not the Ron mentioned above)

Shame on you Ron, I will have to increase the volume until you realise the seriousness of the subjects.
