Good design always appeals and its always nice to see people pick up key phrases or words from Cognitive Edge or its Cynefin Centre Predecessor. One of the first was Anecdote which has gone on to establish a strong brand in its own right. A more recent creation is Narrative Labs in South Africa. We have been engaged with the various members of this newly formed company for some time and they hold the training franchise for South Africa. I have just landed in Australia after a successful week working with them. It combined an accreditation course, a workshop and several productive meetings. One of the things that appealed to me was the art work they have created around a key phrase in the Cynefin framework: Probe-Sense-Respond. The main logo is shown here, and the supporting images for Probe-Sense-Respond below

Have you come across Edward deBono's 1981 "Atlas Of Management Thinking"? Like the probe-sense-respond images from Narrative Labs, he has graphically represented 200 management concepts including leadership, momentum, analysis, etc. 25 years later and I still refer to this little gem regularly.

Those images are quite attractive, and evocative. I can imagine shadowy, wispy, vague representations of humans here and there in the thought bubbles, as well.

I'm really glad you like our designs Dave - the process of coming up with corporate branding is usually a difficult but exciting process (with lots of dissent - mostly not ritualised ;)). We were lucky to work with a really great graphic artist (Angela Lang) who managed to interpret complex ideas that were quite foreign to her exceedingly well.
We always enjoy hosting you in SA, let's hope some exciting business flows from the various meetings! Enjoy Australia!
