The only place I get any peace these days is on airplanes. No email, no mobile phones just a good-bad film a Gin and Tonic and a chance to clear email, write, read or sleep. For a brief period internet access was offered but thank God intelligent passengers did not use the service and peace was restored. Now however there is a new nightmare - mobile phones may be allowed. I am having nightmares ...
... Hello, can you hear me? I am on a plane, yes A PLANE, I can see our house from up here and so on ad nauseam.
Please don't let it happen, PLEASE.

I had the same thoughts.
E-mail is one thing and I'm not sure about that. Voice calls quite another entirely.

Swimming against the tide on this one, methinks. Once the droner wafflers have peaked on sharing their calls with all and sundry, the next thing to look forward to enjoying is people playing music with the phones hanging around their necks...
Is it wrong to hope that we'll find out that mobiles are *bad* for people (asides to the obvious social irritation) and their use will be curtailed for health reasons in the future? Like smoking's track record?
