I was always attracted to the ideas of Plato's Republic but realised that such feelings might have been considered elitist. However having subjected myself to this, and this I think the case against universal suffrage is now clearly established and the empathy of George Bush for his electorate cannot be disputed. No thanks to Sonja for finding these.

Bush was initially appointed by the US Supreme Court and not the people who elected Al Gore by popular vote (is it democracy if you win the popular vote and fail to be elected)? Bush is also in the style of kings (both father and grandfather were rulers or a sort) and he is clearly a philosopher not the simple logic of "you're either with us or you're against us".
So either way you lose....

Hopefully this is the result of selective editing. I'm sure they interviewed hundreds of folks, and these are just the "cream of the crop."
