Science Tattoo Friday

1072744345_c9c1f1d555If asked about the value of social computing I often point to the various science blogs that exist. For a generalist like me these are a life line. Some very bright people scan all sorts of journals, report and reflect on interesting topics and then make it available to the rest of us. It's like having your own research staff. You also get the exotic - in this case a sudden fad has emerged for science based tattoos. Here The Loom not only brings our attention his (an Irving Geis illustration of DNA) but points to a whole collection.

I chose one for this blog from Jay Phelan of UCLA.
