Another interesting hotel for those who have asked me to keep up the stream of recommendations. The King George is just off Union Square right in the centre of San Francisco. Its got a family feeling, friendly helpful staff and very comfortable rooms plus free wifi, all for a third of the price of lower quality competition in the big chains. you probably have to get it on the internet to get the low rate. I am not sure I would want to be there at high summer mind as it might get a bit hot. Several good places to eat within walking distance. A tip is that the Starbucks on O'Farrell street is within wifi range of the hotel. This afternoon I plan to play tourist, see the Golden Bridge and hunt out a Charmed tour (sorry about that last one, just kidding)
